Anyway, since we are talking about characters, Pottermore is filled with them. JK Rowling is breaking ground in the area of ebooks and ecommerce so I'll be watching closely not just for the literary aspects, but for the marketing ones as well. For those interested, Nathan Bransford wrote a recent post on the topic, Why the Harry Potter E-books Are and Aren't a Really Big Deal. With so much going on with publishing, you'd be crazy not to at least be curious, right?
Have you unlocked the magic or signed up yet? Are you planning on it? I'm taking my son with me on this journey so I'm sure we'll have loads of fun.

I have not gotten involved with the Pottermore site, but am curious. My kids are still a bit young for HP,(3 & 5.5) but next year I want to start reading the series to at least my eldest. Let us know what you think of the site when you get a chance, it sounds mysterious.. (:
Wow, definitely signing up. Will try that with my daughter and my son. One more thing to strengthen mom-kids bond :) Thanks, Mina. :)
I think I might give it a shot, but not that sure yet. When I saw your post title Pottermore. My first thought was, What the heck is that.
It looks interesting experience.
I've check it out before but never signed up. May that's what I'll do tonight. I've got nothing going on.
my grandson's would probably be interested in this--thanks
J.K. Rowling is a genius.
Not sure if I'll sign up yet ... but love these A to Z challenge posts!
I haven't seen the site, but I did have the pleasure of hearing her read in person in NYC a few years ago. She reads her own work very nicely (some authors can't pull that off). I'm visiting from A to Z so pop on by if you like (Catherine Stine's Idea City). I write YA spec fiction.
I'm having a hard time finding people who haven't looked at Pottermore yet. They must have some crazy server power to keep up with all the traffic they're getting. :)
No, I haven't signed up yet, but thanks for the lead. One thing that I really want to do is visit the Harry Potter-themed amusement park.
I love ANYTHING related to Harry Potter. But I have to admit...I hope she never writes any more books. I know everyone wants her to and that's what they want to come out of the website. But it was an amazing series and I hope she just leaves it be. I can't ever get any better.
How awesome you're doing this with your son! Sounds like a really cool thing.
This is the sort of thing that my son will be very interested in. Thank you for the info. Pottermore sounds great.
Rhia from Five Minute Piece for Inspiration (about # 776 on A to Z list)
I've never read the books so I haven't checked out Pottermore.
I'm sorry to say I'm not a fan of Harry Potter (I've read the first two so I have tried), but from the screenshot the site looks interesting. Is it like a game?
I love the books and movies, but I haven't yet checked out the website. The article you linked to was interesting, not many people can pull of was Rowling is. Thanks for the tweet! :)
Thanks for sharing this lead for the ebook Mina. I can only imagine the magic it will lead to. Have loved all the Harry Potter books and movies. You can be sure I will check it out.
Great post! I'm signed up! :D With a name like "Magical Mystical Mimi" how could I not??
I haven't checked it out yet, but now I'm curious! :)
