A-Z: Classic Monsters: I is for ?

Today letter for the A-Z Challenge is I.  Since we are doing classic monsters, there was only really only one choice for me.  But I found this gif and decided to turn today's post into a trivia one.  First if all, look at the visual effects on this?  Pretty impressive for a black and white film, huh?  Anyway, let's see if you can answer these trivia questions.

* When was this original film made and which film company made it? 1933 by Universal
* Who was the original classic author? H.G. Wells
*  Can you name some other books by this author?  The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine & The Island of Doctor Moreau

Okay, that was too easy, huh?  Did you have anyone else in mind for the letter "I" like Imotep perhaps?

The invisible man is a cool monster. My fav incarnations though aren't monsters, they are the 1970s TV show with David McCallum and the 2000 version with Vincent Ventresca.
P.S. On my browser the answers are in red on a green background so I can see them without highlighting.

1933? Long time ago.
I think there are some Lovecraft monsters that begin with I.

One of the great monster films and Claude Raines was magnificent in the role!

I like the invisible man in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (the movie), he's snarky and pragmatic.

Love the character, hate the Kevin Bacon movie. But HG Wells...awesome. He's one of the best.

Is the Invisible Man a monster? I always thought of him as being like the guy in Honey I Shrunk the Kids - but in the sequel where he shrinks himself. He's not really a monster, just shrunken.

However, if the invisible man turns evil because of his invisibility, then I guess that counts. I can't think of another 'I' monster except the ice monster in Return of the Jedi, but I think that's just what I call him.

I never would have guessed the trivia, or been able to pull an I monster from my brains, but the invisible man is so obvious that now I feel silly.

Wow, the visual effects in that gif really are impressive!

The first name that came to my mind was Igor.

There was an Invisible Woman..not really a classic or scary. There also was a Sci-fi/horror movie called It Came From Outer Space so the "monster" could be refered to as It.
