She Said What? Blogoversary

Happy Blog-o-versary to Elise Fallson at Elise Fallson Rocks Blog and Michelle Wallace at Writer in Transit!  To celebrate, they created a comic strip that we had to fill in.  Now before you read mine, I have to tell you I had way too many tech difficulties which is why it took me so long.  What can I say?  Operator error?  That said, I still had a ton of fun.  And they wanted us to try to get the bonus words:  twist, cheek, buzz, honor, grey, champagne, tango, vomit.  As you can see I had Ryan Gosling meme's on the brain.

Happy Blogoversary: 3 Years & Counting!

Happy Blogoversary  to me!  Well, it's been 3 years and counting since I started down this neverending blogging and writing adventure.  I thought my Bride of Frankenstein photo was the perfect way to commemorate my 3+ years.  You like?  Yeah, me too.  

Anyway, I had many goals I wanted to tackle in 2012 and although I didn't reach all of them, I did make significant progress.  Keep your fingers crossed that I keep up with my momentum with my writing.  I feel very close to finalizing a project I've been working on for two years. WOW!  Hopefully, I'll have some progress to report soon.

To celebrate my blogoversary and this journey, I've decided to do a special giveaway.  What kind of giveaway you ask?  Well, the Free Shit Fairy came through again.  

Since Lara Adrian was so kind to give me an ARC of Edge of Dawn (my review) and swag, I decided to sweeten the pot.  I realized there are many people that haven't read the series, which makes me sad.  What the hell?  For my blogoversary, I'm giving away my ARC copy and a $10 Amazon Gift Card to one lucky person so they can not only get the latest addition to the series, but also so they can purchase another book in the series.  And... I'll also be drawing additional names for some pen & book marker swag Adrian sent me.  Wahoo!  Below is a copy of the ARC & swag.

My 1000 Follower Giveaway

December marks my 2nd blog-anniversary.  *pops champagne cork*  2 years is nothing to sneeze at is it?  As promised, I'm running a huge giveaway for two reasons.  1) I want to celebrate my blog-anniversary and 2) I'd really like to reach 1000 followers before year 3 starts.  

Anyway, my Free Sh** Fairy and I deliberated over the best books to give away and then we thought...why not give an Amazon GC and let them pick it?  I really wanted to giveaway a few books by Charlene Harris, but that didn't pan out.  Nice going Fairy!  Sorry about that.  Anyway, 25 bones isn't half bad, huh?

My Blogoversary & Free Book Contest

Okay, so this month’s my first Blogoversary. Yeah!  *pops champagne cork*  I think that’s a pretty big deal.  I would have been celebrating earlier but I was in somewhat of a quandary. Since I created my blog in December of 2009, I didn’t officially begin blogging until January of this year. So when I decided to celebrate this momentous occasion, I’ve come up with a solution... I’m doing a special Free Book Contest that runs part in December & January to honor both the creation and implementation of my Mystic Mind blog. How’s that sound?

Now to also pay homage to all my hard work – not only as a reader, but as an aspiring writer - I’ve posted a few prologues and or chapters of my work. See three of my urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels: Mystic Deeds, Blessed One and A Vampire's Silent Genes. These are stories I’ve been slaving away at for quite some time so I do hope you enjoy.  As for the status of each of these works, well, God willing, I hope to have good news in the 2011 year. With that, I promise to keep you posted.

And now, on my Free Book Contest to honor my first Blogoversary.  First and foremost, I am a huge fan of Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy series.  And so, naturally, I want to share what I think is one of the best YA series out there with my fans. If you haven’t read the series, please do. I promise you’re in for a wild ride. Anyway, I finally got my hands on one delicious copy of Last Sacrifice.
