Last week I was tagged for
The Lucky 7 MeMe by Nick Wilford. Not having the faintest idea of what to blog about today, I realized how remarkable the timing was on this. Thanks Nick! I ended up using my current WIP, Mystic Deeds. This novel has been kicking me in the a** for far too long and now it's my turn to do the a** kicking! I was even more surprised that I had 77 pages for this meme, discovering I actually had 83. Woot! Now all I have to do is finish the darn thing. I actually joined June Novel Writing Month the try to do just that. I need to write least 1700 words a day in order to do so. Wish me luck!
Here's how it works.
Go to page 77 of your current MS
Go to line 7
Copy down the next 7 lines as they're written-- no cheating!
Tag 7 other writers

Here's page 77 from my current WIP, Mystic Deeds. In my MS, I promise it's 7 lines, but somehow my blog pushed it to eleven. Sorry.

wow what a horrible way to die!
I just shuddered, reading that! Great stuff!
I love this 7 MeMe thing! Too fun. And fantastic work, Mina... it was waaaay fun to dive into your project for that moment! :D
So glad we don't have a bath tub in my house! :D
Great excerpt and great a** kicking!
Riveting passage!
Gosh! That was quite horrible way to go. I shuddered :D that's when you know you've done a great job..when the reader shudders..hahah Great 7, Mina. :)
Intriguing! Good luck on your manuscript.

Shivers! What a dastardly way to die. Love your thinking, Mina! heh heh. Cant wait to see some other inventive death scenes you come up with!
Now that's a pretty nasty death! Drowning him in the bath would have been quicker and more merciful.
Oooh, digging the intrigue - makes me think of "The Tudors." Well, in a fantastical sorta way; you know what I mean. :-)
Thanks for the tag! I anticipate getting my blurb up on Thursday.
Some Dark Romantic
Thanks Mina for the mention! Powerful excerpt, and I certainly don't want to die that way. The June novel writing challenge sounds daunting, but when you break it up to 1700 words a day, it sounds possible.
Very flattered to have been picked but I'm actually not a writer (the only thing I do which could even vaguely be considered as 'writing' is my blog).
That's a potent powder for sure. I'm so intrigued to know the rest of the story - very Macchiavelian (I don't think I spelt that right)
Sounds interesting! I'd read on :)
Here's the thing I hate about these memes - you only friggin get 7 lines. Where's the rest?!?!?!
A slow and painful death in a warm, relaxing environment? *shudders*
Really nasty but quite imaginative!!
Oooh, death and poison, always compelling stuff! Thanks for sharing.
I'm looking for some ninja writers to interview for my Ninja spotlight series. If you're interested, go to http://kelworthfiles.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/im-looking-for-a-few-good-ninjas/ to find out more!
