Creepy Bookshelf Ideas

I'm in the process of designing a bookshelf.  My demon husband and I live in a modest size home, so we are getting creative with our space and searching for some inspiring bookshelf ideas.  I had at least one general idea in mind and found a sea of other imaginative concepts.  Since the creepier the better is practically my creed, I thought I'd share some of my bizarre bookshelf findings.
Yin & Yang Bookcase
I think this would be better if they stacked it with books and not just minimalist stuff.  



Skull Bookcase
So flipp'n awesome, I can't stand it!


Eerie Tree Bookcase
Creepy and cool!


Cat-Shaped Bookshelf  or Book Display
I wish I was clever enough to create this in my hellions' room.  I'd love to see one built into a raven-shape.  That would be beyond the realm of cool.



Steampunk Bookshelf
Steampunk baby!  Suweeeet!



Coffin Bookshelf
Would you believe there's an entire website of casket furniture?  Yes. Go check it out!



Wall Mount Stacked Bookshelf
Not so much creepy, but this may be something I'd like to install in my bedroom.  I adore this one.  


Criss Cross Bookshelf
I'll probably end up going this route with the crisscross design - minus the mustard yellow.  My demon's pretty handy with his fiendish hammer and necromantic nails.  



What about you? Have you seen any freaky ideas for bookshelves or bookcases?

    I think I would prefer something more "modern" to any of these.

    I love the creepy tree bookcase. I'm gonna have to go look for that or a similar one. I have just regular bookcases right now but one day...I will have teh creepy. lol

    Mina, these are so wicked cool. I just love that eerie tree one - but the skull is awesome and the steampunk one is funky too. Which one are you going with? Wouldnt it be cool to have one in each room? I'm lucky to have built in ones in my old farmhouse but would collect these if I could!

    Those are super interesting, especially the tree and the first one. I have to admit I really like my Ikea shelves, though. :)

    It's a toss up between the steampunk and the crisscross. I'd probably have to go with the latter since it looks like it could hold more :)

    oooh, I like the yingyang one! And the tree one is so pretty, but ouch if you made a wrong move! Have you tried pinterest for ideas? There are some gorgeous bookshelves on there :)

    Very unique! But I'd hate to dust the tree one!
    Could you make a raven out of plywood and paint it, and then put shelves on it?

    Those are pretty creepy! :) I like the wall-mounted books or the crisscross one too. Have you started building it?

    I love the Wall Mount Stacked Bookshelf because it looks like the books are floating in the air! That is probably the only one I would use because the other ones look too special to touch! ;)

    Love the tree! And the criss cross one too. I've never seen any bookcases like these but now I feel like I'm gonna need to get something like them myself one day...

    Also, just thought I'd let you know I'm a new follower... found you through the new adult group in Rachael's campaign... it's my first time participating and I'm excited about meeting some cool new people :)
